Providing EASY Projects

What books should be marked "EASY"?

You know, easy ones! They can be a little more challenging than beginners only projects, but not dauntingly so. Imagine you're a new proofer and completed your first 20 pages and want to move up a step. That's the sort of book we want here. We will be asking proofers to call you on it if you label something easy they think is way too hard (not to smack wrists, but to help keep the "express lane" - that's what this is - unclogged and moving freely.)

Some considerations you may want to keep in mind in providing EASY books:

Easy books shalt have:

  • Very few footnotes (if any)
  • Some indented text (poetry, blockquotes, etc.) are allowed, but not very much
  • Well-OCR'd text
  • Single-column text

Easy books shalt not have:

  • TeX or other specialized markup (custom tags, entities, etc.)
  • Non-ASCII/non-Latin-1 characters (greek, miscellaneous symbols, etc.)
  • Difficult typography (black letter, long s (f), etc.)
  • Large portions of text in another language
  • Sidenotes

HOW do I mark one of my books "EASY"?

Select the Easy radio button when setting the difficulty while editing the project properties.
