Proofreading
From DPCanadaWiki
To be created/developped and updated
- In a specific sense, proofreading is the process of carefully correcting the OCR characters to match the text shown on the scanned pages of a project. This is often called "proofing", and is normally performed in rounds P1, P2, and P3. Compare to formatting.
- When used in a more generic sense, proofreading can refer to the entire process of getting a project ready for posting to the PG site. This is the sense in which the term is used in the name Distributed Proofreaders Canada.
